The History of the Creation and Meaning of the Song Out Of Control by She Wants Revenge
If we talk about the meaning of the song, it is about the beginning of falling in love, when you meet a person who immediately captivates you and you lose control.
“She Wants Revenge” is an American musical group specializing in the post-punk genre. During their activity, they managed to present three albums to the public. The first of them gained considerable popularity, getting into music ratings and bringing the group members wide fame. Their work is influenced by such groups as Joy Division and Bauhaus.
She Wants Revenge duo member Justin Warfield said this about the band's songwriting:
“Our work reflects what we feel at a particular moment. However, it is important to note that the poetic component almost always appears after the melody. I usually immerse myself in a piece of music, listen to it while driving in a car, fully absorbing its essence before starting to write lyrics. Depending on the mood, our compositions can be either bright, cheerful and inspiring, or detached, deep and imbued with emotional tension.”
“Out of Control” was not a massive hit like “Tear You Apart,” but was well received by fans and critics, becoming one of the band’s signature tracks. The song is strongly associated with the band’s aesthetic and style, reflecting their typical themes and musical choices.
She Wants Revenge was credited for reviving and reimagining post-punk traditions in the mid-2000s. Despite their lack of commercial success, the band gained a devoted fan base and influenced many modern alternative and electronic rock bands.
