The Story Behind the Song Move Your Body by Öwnboss & Sevek
The reason for the success of this track is the increasing interest in Öwnboss, a Brazilian artist who is becoming more and more popular on the global stage every day. Considering his monthly listeners on Spotify, his career shows potential. After the release of the track “Move Your Body”, his success reached a new level, which led to him being listed by Tomorrowland as one of the 20 most important artists of 2022. This is an exclusive list where only the most sought-after musicians are included.
On the other hand, Sevek is a young Brazilian musician with a unique knack for creating megahits. Based on his collaboration with Öwnboss and the success of the track “Move Your Body,” it’s safe to say that he has something special. This flair allows him to fill the music scene with new popular compositions.
Öwnboss shares his approach to finding inspiration and talks about his creative process when writing songs:
“As a non-songwriter, I have two main approaches to creating a new song. First, I might start by developing the instrumental part, after which I imagine what kind of vocals would go with that melody. Then I either collaborate with songwriters or discuss ideas with the label to bring my vision to life.
Alternatively, I can take a vocal that is already done and start working on it, refining the instrumentation, vocal line and all the details until I achieve the desired result. I usually go by my own ideas of what I want to create, which are often based on the music I listen to or what I think would sound good at my concerts. Inspiration comes from other artists, which makes the creation process even easier and more fun.”
If we talk about the meaning of “Move Your Body”, then the song is about love, the gentleman invites his beloved to go dancing with him. Öwnboss and Sevek managed to write a composition that not only pleases the ear when listening through streaming services and promises to become a bright anthem for club parties and large-scale festivals, but is also ideal for use in creating various content.
Commenting on his single “Move Your Body,” Öwnboss shared his thoughts:
“It’s just unbelievable, and if you add up the statistics from all the music platforms, the result will be staggering. For any artist, this is a dream that they can only imagine. I always believe in my work and strive to create compositions that have a deep meaning to me, and I can’t find words to express how proud I am of how “Move Your Body” has affected my career.
This song was produced by me in collaboration with SEVEK, a fellow musician from Brazil, and our goal was to create a track that would make people dance, combining different elements of electronic music. “Move Your Body” is a composition full of energy, and even now, years after its release, when I play it at every concert, I can’t help but smile and feel the rhythm. I literally jump with excitement. This song has a special impact on me, and I am very happy with this result.”
