The Story Behind the Song Beautiful Madness by Michael Patrick Kelly
Michael Patrick Kelly creates songs filled with sincerity and philosophical depth. At the same time, the artist does not set himself strict limits in the pursuit of the ideal sound. In one interview, he noted:
“An album can be considered a success if I feel that this is the best that I can express now, the pinnacle of my capabilities in music and lyrics at the moment.”
The sincere reaction of listeners is more valuable to him than any awards. Once a fan admitted that his music became a support during a difficult course of chemotherapy. Michael Patrick Kelly commented:
“It’s a special joy to know that my songs become the soundtrack to important moments in people’s lives.”
Michael Patrick Kelly conquers the world charts and audiences with his composition “Beautiful Madness”:
“I released this track because people need something like this – three minutes of musical sunshine for their ears.”
Michael Patrick Kelly changed his approach to choosing singles by trusting women's intuition:
“My biggest solo hit 'Beautiful Madness' became a single only because we asked the female audience for their preference. 90% voted for this song.”
Michael Patrick Kelly considered several tracks as potential singles. The deciding factor in choosing “Beautiful Madness,” a cheerful pop track, was its contemporary feel:
“Today, we are surrounded by problems everywhere. When opportunities for joy and fun are limited, music can make people smile and dance. This is exactly the effect we wanted to achieve.”
While working on the composition in London, Kelly first came up with a melody:
“I felt that this cheerful motif required a special approach. And then it dawned on me: sometimes losing control is a wonderful feeling, especially when it comes to falling in love.”
When writing the lyrics for “Beautiful Madness,” Kelly drew on personal experiences:
“I fell in love with my future wife. For three days I lived as if in a fog – no sleep, no appetite, no clarity of thought. Then I realized: something special is happening to me. Should I remain reasonable or give in to this delightful madness? The choice led to the happiest pages of my biography.”
The divine meaning of the song is that its performer addresses God.
