Let's talk about the song "From Nowhere" performed by Dan Kroll
In the world of electronic music, talented artists periodically emerge who are able to turn the picture upside down. One of such talents is Dan Kroll, a young musician who quickly won the attention of fans with his unique sound concept and talent for creating deeply emotional tracks. In this article, we want to introduce you to his track “From Nowhere”, which has become a real event in the music industry.
The Story Behind the Song From Nowhere by Dan Kroll

British musician Dan Kroll is a true connoisseur of diverse sound textures, which is reflected in his extensive collection of musical instruments. He enjoys using these instruments in his compositions, constantly experimenting with new sound solutions. As Kroll himself admits, he devotes a significant part of the time he spends on composing songs to editing and improving his works. However, the musician is especially inspired when he manages to introduce the sounds of his favorite instruments into his compositions in unexpected and original ways.
At the age of seventeen, Dan Kroll made the decision to dedicate his life to music, and from that moment on, he relentlessly pursued his dream. After participating in various musical groups and experimenting with various sound styles, Kroll finally found his unique creative identity.
This happened with the release of his debut EP From Nowhere, which became an important stage in his career. Most of Kroll's compositions are based on his personal experiences and emotions, which gives his work sincerity and emotional depth.
“Music was an integral part of my childhood and youth. I grew up in a family where musical traditions were passed down from generation to generation. My mother was a big fan of jazz and folk music, and records by artists like James Taylor and Eva Cassidy were often played in our house. My sister played the piano and became my first music teacher when I was very young.
Later, I learned to play the guitar on my own and began to study other musical instruments. However, I did not try myself as a composer until I was 16 or 17. It was at 17 that I realized that music was not just a hobby, but my future profession, and from that moment on I devoted myself entirely to it.”
Kroll draws inspiration from a wide range of musical genres and artists:
“I have a lot of influences in the songs I like to listen to and the artists I like to listen to. I reference a lot of tracks when I’m in the studio.”
The title of the track “From Nowhere” reflects its spontaneous birth. Kroll recalls:
“As you can tell from the title, ‘From Nowhere’ literally came out of nowhere. It happened when I was moving a newly purchased organ into the place I was recording at the time (an old abandoned school gym). I turned on the organ, hit the built-in ‘afro’ preset on the drum machine and played these three basic chords. I had never played these chords before and had no idea how I wanted them to sound: they just came out of nowhere.”
If we talk about the meaning of the song, it is about love.
