We tell you about the song "Black Madonna" by Cage The Elephant
Cage the Elephant is an American rock band formed in 2006 in Kentucky. The band has released several successful albums and singles throughout their career, but one of their songs stands out in particular. We are talking about the song “Black Madonna”.
The History of the Creation and Meaning of the Song Black Madonna by Cage The Elephant
The origin of the name of the band Cage the Elephant is connected with a rather unusual incident. One day, the musicians were performing at a concert, after which they witnessed a very strange incident. A man appeared on the street, behaving inappropriately. When the lead singer of the band tried to get into the car, the rest of the band, unfortunately for him, managed to lock the door. At that moment, the man ran up to the lead singer and unexpectedly hugged him. Matthew Schultz thought that his life was in danger. However, the man simply uttered the mysterious words: “Cage the Elephant”. It was at that moment that Schultz realized that this name would be perfect for their band.
"Black Madonna" was released in 2015 on the album "Tell Me I'm Pretty", which was produced by Dan Auerbach, known for his work with The Black Keys. The song was written by the band's vocalist Matt Schultz and guitarist Brad Schultz.
It's a song about a broken heart, but his feelings for her have not faded. The singer's voice begs her to talk to him, while being convinced that she is cheating on him, but unwilling to openly admit it.
